Who we are

This website is run by Break of Dawn, a plant-based food kitchen in Mumbai, India. Where these terms say “we”, “us” or “our”, they mean Break of Dawn. Where they say “you”, they mean anyone using this site.

By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Ordering

You can add items to a basket here and check out and pay online, or order over WhatsApp if you prefer. There is no account to create.

Adding items to your basket does not create a contract. An order exists once your payment is completed at checkout, or once we have confirmed a WhatsApp order with you. Until then we may decline or cancel it, for example if an item is unavailable, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if the details given to us cannot be verified.

Please give us accurate delivery details. We cannot take responsibility for a delivery that fails because an address or phone number was wrong.

You need to be old enough to enter into a contract in India to order. If you are under 18, please order with a parent or guardian.

Prices and payment

Prices are in Indian Rupees and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time, but never after your order is confirmed.

All orders are prepaid; there is no cash on delivery. You can pay online when you check out on this site — debit and credit card, UPI, net banking or wallet — through our secure payment provider. Card details are entered on the payment provider’s own secure page and are never seen or stored by us. If you would rather order over WhatsApp, we will send you a payment link there instead.

Delivery charges are set out in our shipping and refunds policy.

Our food

Everything we make is plant-based and contains no dairy. All our products are made in Mumbai, India — country of origin India. Products are made fresh to order in small batches, so colour, texture and appearance vary a little between batches. That is real food, not a fault.

Allergens. Our kitchen works extensively with nuts, especially almonds. Products may contain or come into contact with nuts and other allergens. If you have an allergy or intolerance, please ask us about the specific product before ordering rather than relying only on the descriptions here.

Because we use no preservatives, our food should be refrigerated and eaten fresh. Storage guidance comes with your order.

Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are arranged with you directly on WhatsApp. Discounts are based on how much almond milk you take in a month: 15 bottles or more earns 5% off your orders that month, and 25 or more earns 8%. Subscribers are billed at the end of each month.

You can skip, change or pause a subscription by telling us, ideally before the next delivery is prepared. We may change subscription terms with reasonable notice.

Using this website

Please do not misuse this site: no attempting to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, no scraping it for commercial purposes, and nothing unlawful.

The words, photographs, recipes, artwork, logos and design here belong to Break of Dawn. You are very welcome to share links and to post about us. Please do not copy our photographs, text or branding for commercial use, or present our products as your own, without our written permission.

Customer reviews quoted on this site are reproduced as their authors wrote them.

Availability of the site

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. Descriptions and prices may occasionally contain a mistake; where one affects your order, we will contact you before going ahead.

Our responsibility to you

We take real care with our food and our service. Where something goes wrong with an order, our responsibility is to put it right as described in our shipping and refunds policy: replacing the item, or refunding what you paid for it.

Beyond that, and so far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Indian consumer law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

How we handle your information is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date above tells you when it last changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
